Just Fixin My Melon

We got Aftin's helmet "Just Fixin My Melon" bling on Monday. Though it was a pain to put on the crania cap it was worth it because it's super cute. We still have a few watermelon seed stickers to add but overall it's finished.

Pool Fun with the Patterson's

Sunday we joined the Patterson's in their new pool. It was a beautiful day and so much fun to see Michael, Laurie, Chase, Blake and Ashton. The water was a little chilly but the girls still loved it. We spent the entire afternoon there, had dinner with them and then headed for home to get ready for bedtime. Unfortunately Lance got a little burnt, so next time sunscreen will be used a little more on his part.

Funny Papa!

Papa thought this moment would make for some good pictures. They are pretty cute, so it was hard to be upset with him. Luckily Aftin will be a good girl and not drink until she's legal to do so. A mom can always dream right?

Helping Mommy Work

Aftin helped me with my work one night. Not sure about her choice of work attire though.

Aftin's new accessory

Aftin got fitted for her cranial cap (she has a flat spot on the left side of her head) today after her physical therapy for her torticollus (tightening of her neck muscle on her right side). She can blame Bailee for most of this because she took up most of the room when I was pregnant with them. So hopefully after 2-3 months of wearing the helmet 22 hours a day she will have a rounder melon. Luckily as you can see by the pictures she doesn't seem to mind it.

Daddy's crazy fish

Lance went fishing on the river the day after we were out there relaxing and got an alligator gar. I had never seen one other than at the state fair, so it was pretty cool to see this picture.

A special visit

Grammie, Grampie and Uncle Rusty came over to spend some time with the girls. They loved all the attention they got before it was time for night night. After the girls went to bed a wild storm came through and all of us watched the lightnening show outside until it started to pour. The girls slept right through it.

A day on the river

The girls got on the river for the first time on July 11th for Grampie Bob's birthday celebration. We got on one of the islands and Lance picked up Grammie, Grampie and Uncle Rusty. Aftin enjoyed the water quite a bit more than Bailee who spent a lot of the time crying. It wasn't very warm that day so hopefully it will be better when the water is warmer for her. Rookie loves the water and he's Daddy's fishing buddy so any day on the water is a good day for him. They had a blast until the thunder, lightening and rain came. We had to rush to get off the river and the celebration unfortunately didn't last long. We left and Daddy and Rookie packed up the remainder of the stuff and met us back home later. Looking forward to more time on Daddy's favorite river.
