Adventures with Grampie and Grammie!

The girls go to Grampie and Grammie's house 2 days a week and Grammie sends me pictures on their adventures.  I have been meaning to add these pictures for a while as you can see the weather is on the warmer side when they were taken.  They love their Tuesday and Thursday adventures!

Go Packers Go!

I can't leave the blog with representing just the Vikings, so here is a video of Aftin showing some Packer spirit.  Unfortunately the game ended up in a loss for the Packers, but it was based on the worst call from inexperienced refs!

Football is Back!

Football season is upon us once again and we are loving our Sunday game days.  I was feeling generous and took pictures of the girls in their Vikings gear since the Packers weren't playing until Monday.  Luckily for Lance the Vikings won.

Play Date with Maggie!

The last two weekends the girls have had play dates with Maggie.  The first one was at the pool and they don't allow cameras there, so we don't have any pictures.  The girls had a blast though on the little turtle slide and Susie took them down the big slide a lot because I wasn't very good at keeping them above water when we came down.  Thanks Susie!  This last weekend we met up at Mary Park and even though it was on the chilly side the girls loved it.  The girls even got to see the train come through at the end and it was adorable watching them say choo choo and make the signal with their arms.

Fall is Here!

The girls love being outside and fall is definitely here so we have been enjoying a lot of outdoor time.  Sidewalk chalk drawings continue and they picked some gourds that Jason had planted in the spring and are very proud of those.  I also gave them a ride in the go cart which is one of their favorite things to do outside.

Indoor Camping

This is what my spare bedroom looks like lately.  The girls have decided that they want to do some indoor camping and this is what it looks like.  I love how their imaginations are growing more and more each day.  Now if only I could have them pick all of it up after their imaginations are done camping.  Some day...

Brunch with Shari and Playground Time

The girls and I met up for brunch with my long-time friend Shari (or Shar Shar as I like to call her).  It was so great catching up and I loved seeing the girls have one on one conversations with her.  I couldn't ask for a better friend!  After brunch the girls needed to get out some energy so we hit up a playground on the way home.  They loved it but I could have done without all the sand everywhere after.  It was a beautiful day and it was so fun to see them running around.

When Mommy's Away...

I am a member of the Mothers of Multiples in St. Paul and twice a year they have a huge sale at Century College.  The fall sale was a couple of Saturdays ago, so the girls had a daddy date.  While I was at the sale these are the pics I got from Lance.  They sure have a creative sense of style while Mommy's away.

Teddy Bear Time!

The girls, Tamara and I went to Teddy Bear Park in Stillwater and even with the weather being a scorcher it was still a blast.  The girls loved the train and the slides (although super hot) were a hit.  Afterward we hit up DQ to cool down with some treats.  We didn't want to leave Uncle Rusty out so we went over to their house after so the girls could visit with him too.

Trout Time!

You would think after living in Star Prairie for 6 years we would have visited the Star Prairie Trout Farm by now.  Nope, it wasn't until we got the invite from Janet, Darwin and Addison that we decided to check out this really cool place that is right in our little town.  The girls paid $1 each to get some fish food and then the fun began.  They ran around with Addison from pond to pond feeding the fish.  When the fish were really hungry they would come so close to the edge that they would splash the girls.  They loved it and we can't wait to go again.

Who are you?

The girls have been pretending to be other people recently, so I shot video of them being their cousins, Alexis and Kennedy.  They also were writing names and rattled off a few names, Tamara or Mara, Jason and Uncle Rusty.  Gotta love a 2 year old's imagination.

Popcorn in the Park

Lance, the girls and Rookie headed out on a Sunday morning to hit up Farm & Home and the park.  The girls enjoyed Farm & Home more than the park because it has tons of animals to check out and they got popcorn during breakfast time.  Crazy girls!  Lance took a picture of them enjoying the popcorn more than the park and sent it my way.  Anything but ordinary they are.

Copper Falls Time!

We finished out our camping season with the 5 of us (included Rookie) camping at Copper Falls State Park in Northern WI.  It's absolutely beautiful and the trails are breath taking.   Unfortunately Rookie wasn't able to go very many places (they designate certain dog friendly areas) but he still had a good time.  The weather couldn't have been better for camping.  It's a long post because I took a lot of pictures on the trail and some video of the girls acting silly.  They even made a friend at the beach, I think her name was Natalie and she is also 2.  You can see her in the first video with the girls playing ring around the rosie.  The bottom video is Aftin singing to a video.  So cute!

On our way home we hit up Coops in Hayward.  We love this restaurant because it has a giant fish tank that the girls get excited about.  Plus the food is pretty good too.
