Fun with Friends!

We had a play date this last weekend with our friends Livia and Everly.  Livia is almost 3 and so when these girls got together it was non-stop running, playing, yelling and fun!  I didn't get very good pictures, but you can imagine how hilarious these girls were.

Happy Memorial Day! Veteran's Run!

This last weekend we honored those that have fought for our freedom. We also ran in the Veteran's Memorial 5k in New Richmond. It was my friend Janet's idea as she is a vet (Air Force) herself. So proud to be standing next to her at the finish. The morning wasn't nearly as smooth as we had hoped though, since we were running late and nearly didn't make the start of the race. Thank goodness for Grammie and Autnie Tamara who helped watch the girls and our stuff while we ran. Lance did an excellent job at the run with a time of 22:19, Janet also did so great at 29:40 and my time was better than the run in St. Cloud, at 34:59.

Kennedy's a teenager!! 13!!!

Our niece Kennedy just turned 13 and I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  She's the sweetest girl and we had so much fun celebrating at the cabin with her.

New Playhouse and Outdoor Time!

The girls are loving their new playhouse.  They have their whole set up with the grills and their picnic table now.  Their favorite part is ringing the door bell and being able to answer the door.  Lance did just find a tiny wasp nest in the sky light part though so we need to start checking for those going forward.

Park Time!

We met up with the McNamara's recently at Mary Park and the girls played and did some fishing while Susie and I walked Tommy around after lunch.  It was a beautiful day and the kids all had so much fun.  Lots more of these posts to come this summer as we hit camping season too.

Lance bought a few trees for the yard and Aftin was his little helper while he planted them.  Bailee was close by, but doing her own thing.

A Memorable Mother's Day!

The first picture is how we started Mother's day and it was a great, relaxing morning.  Lance made me breakfast and we got ready and headed outside.  We started putting the girls' new playhouse together and they were running around.  Then it happened, Aftin fell while running toward the back deck and hit her head by her temple right on the edge of the bottom step.  I picked her up and brought her inside and saw the damage and it was bad.  She sat with me for a little bit before starting to get sleepy and then she said she was going to get sick, so it was time to hit up the ER for a concussion.  I drove her there and on the way she got sick and I was freaking out, so I called Lance to meet me there.  He got there with Bailee and they waited for an hour to get the results from the CT scan.  She didn't have any damage beyond the really bad concussion, so they left and because she kept getting sick we stayed for another few hours.  Four hours later we were released and headed home.  My parents came over and we grilled and it was a low key rest of the day for all of us.  I am just thankful that she's okay.

Happy Birthday Grammie!

 We celebrated Grammie's birthday as well as Mother's day this past Saturday night.  Tamara made an awesome cake and we got to spend time with the family which is the best part.  Happy birthday/Mother's day Grammie!

Yep, here's a couple more recent pictures of the girls playing dress up.  Gotta love the different hairstyles that Bailee puts together.  The dress up clothes are thanks to Jason, the girls love them.

Bailee reminds me of a crazy Dolly Parton.  Aftin toned it down and only had on a lei.

Brayden's Confirmed!

We celebrated Brayden's confirmation a couple of weeks ago.  He did such a great job on his bible verse at church and we were all so proud of him.  He also designed the front of the program for the church service. Such a wonderful day to celebrate.

Addison turns 5!

We celebrated Addison Geigle's fifth birthday a couple of weeks ago.  The girls got to hang with their friends and Janet had a table of crafts so they were able to do some projects too.  Janet also made a beautiful cake for Addison and so I had to get a couple of pictures of her unbelievable work.
