Amery Fall Festival Run - It's a Chilly One!

We headed up to Amery over Fall Festival weekend so the girls could do the kids run and Lance could run the 5k.  It was a little chilly to say the least (39 degrees) that morning, so we had hats, mitten and coats on.  The girls were really excited, but after waiting for a while they were getting pretty cold.  Aftin ran with Lance and ended up getting 2nd place in her age group which meant she got a medal.  Bailee ran with me and did as she did with the race in St. Cloud last year had a bit of a tough time.  So we walked and jogged most of it.  She didn't finish last and she was happy when she was done, so I think she'll keep doing them.  Lance did well in his race as well for not running a ton this summer and we cheered him on when he came back in.

School is Exhausting!

Since starting 4k this is how the girls look after we get home.  School must be exhausting for them.  On another note, we definitely need to get them something to keep their heads back while driving in the car since switching from the minivan's adjustable seats. 

4-Wheeler Time

 Jason stopped by with his 4-wheeler and the girls had to get a ride.  I only got Aftin on it, but Bailee also got a turn after.  They love going on rides, thanks Jason!

Team McNelson - Park Time!

We got together with the McNamara family for a little Cherry Berry and park time a few weeks back.  The weather was amazing and the kids had a blast.  They were running around so much it was hard to get pictures, so this is the best I could do.  Luckily Teddy is available with his cute little face when the bigger kids are running around.

Dad Jeans

I had to post this because I laughed out loud for about 5 minutes when I saw Lance grab his "work" jeans (I call them his dad jeans) and Blake was excited because he had the exact same jeans.  I swear these two are clones of each other.

Nana's Birthday

We celebrated Nana's birthday at our house in early September (just catching up now) with dinner and Packer football game.  Happy brithday Nana!

Football Time - GO PACK GO!!

The first game of the season was on last night and we were ready to cheer the Green Bay Packers on to a victory.  Unfortunately they lost to the Seattle Seahawks, but it's a long season and many more victories to come I am sure.

We spent some time with Mike, Laurie, Chase, Blake and Ashton over the last weekend and even though the weather was a little gloomy, we made it out on the water.  The little ones were a little stir crazy but it was great.  Plus, we had Captain Chase driving the boat so that was fun to see him driving us around.  He did great!

Another Day, Another Park

Before heading up to see Patterson's over Labor Day weekend we went to a park in Hudson and the girls had a blast.  We headed to Cherry Berry after since the weather was pretty warm.

Play Date Time - Azlynn

The girls and I spent a beautiful day with Cara and Azlynn over Labor Day weekend.  I think the girls would move in if they could.  We headed to Starr Elementary for a little playground time and the girls got a lot of energy out.

The girls wanted to play in a camper/fort so Lance got a couple blankets and they were in heaven.

Labor Day Fun!

Over Labor Day weekend we spent a lot of time at home getting projects done and in between we headed to a few parks.  The girls LOVE parks and climbing stuff is one of their favorite things recently.

Lance's Pre-Birthday Fun!

Lance's birthday is today but we celebrated last weekend with cupcakes that Jason brought over.  The girls had to have their own cupcakes with candles too.
