6th Birthday Party Prep!

The girls will be celebrating their 6th birthday soon.  Here's this year's invite and we have 27 kids invited to see the movie Kung Fu Panda 3.  More posts to come as it gets closer.

Sophia Turned 6!

Aftin celebrated Sophia's 6th birthday this past weekend.  It was a princess theme and very cute.  She had so much fun!

Elin Turned 6!

 

The girls celebrated their friend Elin's birthday a couple of weeks back.  They are so lucky to have such special friends and loved the painting they got to do at the party.

Final Packer Game - Team McNelson Style!

We watched the last Packer game of the season at the McNamara's house.  It was a nail biter and there was lots of yelling, jumping up and down and in the end sad faces over the final score.  It was so fun being with the team though that even with the loss we left happy.  Onto this fall when we will be back cheering on our favorite team.

New Do's

 The girls and their friend Payton got their hair cut a few weeks ago at Auntie Michelle's salon.  Aftin and Payton went a lot shorter with 4 inches taken off and Bailee got a trim but then had it straightened.  They are getting SO BIG, it's crazy how fast they have grown up.

Being Silly

Kennedy and Bailee were being silly during the Packer game a couple of weeks back.  Kennedy took these pictures and I found them on my phone after the game.

Rylee's Turns 6!

Rylee turned 6 at the beginning of January and the girls went to her birthday party at Kari's Paints and Creates in Stillwater.  Aftin made a cat and Bailee made a princess.  They loved every minute of it. 

Snow Tubing Part 2 - The ER Visit

 

The day after our fun, family snow tubing afternoon Lance and Kennedy went back out to snow tube.  Unfortunately this one landed Lance in the ER because they chose a hill that was really fast, really bumpy and really icy.  He hit a wall of ice and bruised his ribs, luckily Kennedy was okay.  So we received some valium and pain meds and headed home.  He was off of work for two days and is slowly recuperating.  The adventures continue for us.

New Year's Day - 2015

 New Year's Day we had Janet, Jason and the kids come over to snow tube in the back.  It was perfect weather and everyone had a great time.  We ended with hot chocolate and a warm house.  Love winter during days like this.

 

 

New Year's Eve - 2015

We switched up New Year's Eve this year and celebrated at Janet's house.  It was wonderful and the food and company was unbelievable.  We had several kinds of fondue and then topped it off with a chocolate fountain.  The kids were in HEAVEN! 

Visit with Sawyer!

  Trying to get a picture with all three looking was impossible.  These girls are so cute and they love each other so much.  Can't wait to continue to see them grow up together!

 

Sisters that tattoo together...

 

The girls couldn't wait to try their new tattoos from Christmas.  They decided to do as Michelle and I did and get tattoos in the same spot. I am curious if they will get them once their adults like their mom and auntie did.

Christmas 2015 - Grammie and Grampie's House

We celebrated Christmas at Bob and Jeannie's the day after Christmas.  It was wonderful having the whole family together.

 

School Christmas Program - The Little Christmas Tree

The girls had their school Christmas Program on Dec. 18th and it was adorable.  We had Bailee's first and then Aftin's class was next.  Grampie, Grammie, Papa and Nana joined me in watching their program and after we headed to Culver's.  It was such a fun day for all of us!  I also added a bunch of videos under the videos page on the blog since I didn't get many pics of Aftin's class.  Her class is mostly video.

Holiday Baking

I enjoy baking around the holidays and I love getting the girls involved too.  Each year I try a couple new recipes and also stick to the faves of the family.  The girls were great at helping again this year and even got their own Easy Bake Oven from Santa.  We had to try it out on Christmas Day.  The girls thought their cookies were delicious.
