This is a little late, but the girls a few weeks back had their 9 month checkup and are doing great! Here are their stats:
Aftin -
Weight - 19 lbs. 6 ozs. which is the 70th percentile
Height - 28 inches which is the 75th percentile
Head circumference - 43 cm still little but bigger than last time 20th percentile
Bailee -
Weight - 20 lbs. 10 ozs. which is the 80th percentile - going down this time, probably due to crawling
Height - 29.5 inches which is 97th percentile - going up, she's just like her daddy
Head circumference - 44.5 cm which is 70th percentile
They didn't need any vaccinations other than the flu shot, which they did great with. The girls have been busy with crawling and more recently they now pull themselves up on stuff and creep around the furniture. Usually one goes one way and the other goes the other way. It keeps us pretty busy. They also have started eating more solid foods. Aftin wasn't a huge fan of anything with texture and so we have slowly started changing over. We used Sprout foods because Aftin would actually eat those and now she is getting better about texture and really like meats, bagels, waffles, fruit, yogurt, and some veggies. Bailee has been such a great eater this entire time. She isn't a huge fan of diced carrots, but that's the only thing we have found so far. She and Aftin shared a peanut butter, banana bagel with daddy recently and loved it.
Bailee likes to use her activity table as her walker and Aftin is a quick one when she's holding onto our hands. I think it won't be long before they are on their own taking their first steps. The other thing that Bailee just started to doing is jumping in her crib. She thinks she's pretty slick finding out that the mattress is bouncy.
They still love their puppers, though Aftin more than Bailee. He's still not so sure about them and primarily walks away as soon as he sees them coming for them. He's very patient though now that they are mobile. Daddy still likes to give them rides on him.
Windows have become their newest thing. They are obsessed with checking out the windows and seeing what's going on outside. Luckily the living room windows are huge and they have lots of room to sit or stand. Unfortunatley it's winter so they won't be doing much outside for a while, but they can at least watch the snow fall and daddy shoveling it.
I am curious what the next 3 months have in store. Can't believe birthday cake is right around the corner.
